

Reformer Pilates is a comprehensive fitness system that uses the Pilates Reformer, a unique piece of exercise equipment that enhances strength, flexibility, and posture. Mat-Pilates, the original workout created by Joseph Pilates, focuses on core strength and flexibility using body weight and additional props for resistance. Reformer Pilates introduces adjustable resistance through the springs on the reformer, along with the sliding carriage to aid motion. This method offers a broader range of exercises targeting specific muscle groups more effectively.
Since resistance can be tailored to challenge you as you progress, it makes it a suitable alternative for all fitness levels. At NBF we have been working hard on completing our reformer level 1, 2, and 3. We believe our reformer classes will help connect you to your strength, breath, and flexibility to move your capabilities to new heights.
We want our clients to leave each class feeling supported, that the workout was effective, and that we met you where you are in real time.
At NBF we have limited our class size to 8 for a semi-private feel to a group class environment. You can expect more personalized attention in this setting.
We have invested in the Stott Pilates SPX commercial reformers, equipped with upgraded springs, reformer boxes, foot platform extenders, cardio trampolines, and jumpboards!

If you are brand new to reformer and have never used a reformer before, we have a mandatory foundations class to attend to break down the anatomy of the reformer and how to use it. You will also be guided through a 45 minute workout session. You will leave feeling like you understand how to use the springs, how to set your body up laying down, standing or kneeling, and you will also get a great workout in that will prep you for the workouts to come!
